Plugin guide

Create your plugin package

Give your AI the right instructions. Bring the resulting file to your Local Workspace and review it before installing.

From idea to your plugin.

  1. Choose your MCP

Enter its name, repository or official documentation URL.

  2. Use your preferred AI

Copy the complete prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or another AI. Ask it to research the sources and return a ready-to-install MCPB bundle.

  3. Review in your Workspace

In an updated Blackrooting, open Plugins, select Add Plugin and choose or drop the MCPB file and review before confirming.

Plugins for your everyday work

Prepare your prompt

Enter the MCP, choose its destination and copy the instructions for your AI.

Your choices stay in this browser. No AI calls, repository requests or device activation.

Choose the system where Blackrooting will run the plugin. If it runs in a Linux container, select Linux, even if your browser is on a Mac.

Before installing

Check whether installation is available
Use an updated Blackrooting. Installation files use the MCPB format. For supported npm and Python plugins, it downloads and prepares dependencies and runs the setup steps declared in the file after you confirm. No terminal is needed. Some plugins still require an account, access key or another application.
Choose a source you trust
The file created by your AI has not been reviewed by Blackrooting. Check where the plugin comes from and what it can access before continuing.
Did your AI report missing information?
Ask it to complete the missing details. A file marked as draft cannot be installed yet.
Your file is complete. What comes next?
A file marked as complete is ready for Blackrooting to check. This does not guarantee that the plugin is safe or works on your computer. Review the details before confirming.
