No. You keep using the AI client you already have. Blackrooting lets that client use tools on your computer.

ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP-compatible clients. Blackrooting provides the endpoint. The client still needs to support MCP connections.

Yes. Desktop keeps the connection alive and starts local tools. Cloud cannot run those tools if Desktop is not running on the machine.

MCP is a protocol that lets an AI client call tools. Blackrooting does not replace those tools. It gives a compatible client a path to MCP servers and apps that already run on your machine.

Yes. You can add custom MCP servers in Blackrooting Desktop and make them available through your endpoint.

No. Blackrooting Desktop starts the connection. You do not need to open ports on your router.

No. MCPs, apps, and tools run on your computer. Blackrooting Cloud authenticates the client and forwards the request.

Yes. You can revoke a connected computer and endpoint access from Blackrooting Cloud when you no longer want that route available.

Yes. You cancel from Blackrooting Cloud billing. Access continues through the end of the paid period, then the account returns to Free.

The account returns to Free. Blackrooting on your computer stops when the paid period ends.

Yes. A Blackrooting account can connect more than one computer. Each one is a separate Desktop install, managed from Blackrooting Cloud.

Payments are processed by Stripe Checkout from Blackrooting Cloud. Available methods are the ones Stripe offers for your account and region.

Requests cannot reach local tools while the computer or Desktop is offline. When the machine and network are back, Blackrooting restores the connection.
